Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite
Are you a passionate electrical engineer with a desire to innovate and shape the future of healthcare? Join our forward-thinking medical device team in our Surgical Technologies business unit, working specifically on developing our Next Generation Neptune portfolio, where your work will directly impact patient outcomes. As a key contributor, you will independently design and develop advanced electrical components and sub-systems for groundbreaking medical devices, using cutting-edge techniques in circuit design, testing, and problem-solving.
This role goes beyond engineering—it's about collaboration, leadership, and driving innovation. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, translating user needs into precise design specifications, influencing clinical outcomes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. With the opportunity to engage directly with clinicians and stakeholders, you'll bring products from concept to market, addressing real-world challenges and making a measurable difference in patients' lives.
If you're motivated by complex problem-solving, inspired by advancing technology in healthcare, and driven to deliver high-quality results in a collaborative environment, we invite you to be part of our mission. Join us and turn your technical expertise into life-changing innovations.
This role is hybrid based in Stryker's Global HQ in Portage, MI, with the expectation to come into the office 3-4 days a week.
What You Will Do:
Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts for electronic circuit boards in medical devices, ensuring alignment with system requirements.
Develop, review, and execute electrical system tests using advanced equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) to validate performance and reliability.
Identify and evaluate solutions to complex product design challenges, balancing tradeoffs at the component and sub-system levels.
Development, creation, and refinement of technical documentation, including schematics, design descriptions, stack-up calculations, and manufacturing test specifications.
Interface with manufacturers to define and implement manufacturing test specifications for scalable production.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to drive project success.
Build relationships and influence across engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
Deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and a strong commitment to meeting business priorities such as process improvements, technology advancements, and product development from concept to launch.
Required Qualifications
