The Residence Manager will coordinate, organizes and manage the residence and convey a clear understanding of program and agency philosophy to staff. The Residence Manager will promote an appropriate working/living atmosphere within the home and serve as a role model and advocate by ensuring individual safety and proper maintenance and cleanliness of the residence. As the Residence Manager, you will develop and implement Individual Staff Action Plans, Person Centered Plans and ensure training of adult living skills in a dignified and respectful manner.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Residence Manager is responsible for training all staff on the philosophy of Person-Centered Planning and oversee implementation. The Residence Manager will attend and participate in all mandatory trainings and on-going in-service trainings and will coordinate, organize, and manage the residence and remain within budgetary guidelines. The Residence Manager will assist individuals with their Adult Daily Living Skills (ADLS) i.e., bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, washing hair, cutting nails, shaving (as needed) and provide oversight and feedback to DSP staff based on Core Competencies. The Residence Manager will develop and implement systems to ensure proper day-to-day operation of the home (shift assignments, food, supplies, etc.). The Residence Manager is required to be on call 24/7 when not on duty and will have use of agency cell phone for this purpose.
Education & Experience - Associate degree or High School Diploma - Five (5) years of related work experience and three (3) years of related supervisory experience, required. - A valid, non-restricted and acceptable driver’s license is required. Physical Requirements: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. • Depending on location SCIP-R (Perform Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention-revised) physical intervention is required. • Stair climbing is required (where applicable) • Special Demands: Residence Manager should use lifts provided for all lifting. They also need to be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift a greater weight, in which case, assistance may be needed.
