Job Summary The Coordinator of Day Program will provide overall coordination, organization and operations of the Group Day Habilitation Program and is responsible for direct and indirect supervision of personnel in the Group Day Habilitation Program. The Coordinator will be responsible for the development of day habilitation services and/or other types of day training programs.
Duties & Responsibilities The Coordinator of Day Program is responsible for developing and maintaining a Day Program with a minimum of 40 participants, while adapting to changing service needs and increasing census over time. The role involves collaboration with internal management, external agencies, and the local DDSO to coordinate services such as transportation, community resources, and appropriate programming. The Coordinator supervises and evaluates staff, oversees training and orientation, contributes to budget planning, and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations. This position also supports agency goals, advises leadership on program needs, maintains open communication, and represents the Day Program at key meetings.
Education & Experience
Master’s Degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, QIDP.
A valid, non-restricted driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is frequently required to stand, move, handle or feel, and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
