Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support product development, prototyping, and manufacturing processes. This individual will need to strictly manage their time in order to correctly review and or update drawings during this project time frame, that could include drawing creation as needed.
Responsibilities
Design & Development:
Design mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
Collaborate with other engineers to design and develop new products or improve existing designs.
Perform mechanical simulations and analysis (e.g., FEA, CFD) to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Propose, design, and implement innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
Product/ Sourcing Support:
Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible for mass production.
Review and create production drawings and documentation for the manufacturing team.
Recommend and select materials, manufacturing methods, and suppliers based on technical specifications.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain project timelines and communicate updates to stakeholders on project status.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, development, or related fields.
Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools such as FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to project management.
Other:
Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.).
