The
School of Criminal Justice and Criminology
at Texas State University seeks applicants for a full-time, one-year renewable, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction position, to begin Fall 2025. Normal teaching load is 4 undergraduate courses per semester. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to perform both university and community service. The selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check and provide official transcripts from all degree-granting universities. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. All positions are subject to availability of funds. Required Qualifications: ABD or Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related discipline, and teaching experience at the undergraduate level. A J.D. coupled with a master’s degree in criminal justice (or related) and/or criminal justice experience will also be considered. All areas of expertise will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching a variety of criminal justice courses and evidence of teaching effectiveness. To ensure full consideration, please submit the following materials by
