Overview ADM Operations is seeking an experienced Process Automation Manager supporting process manufacturing assets in our Decatur, IL complex. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position and may be provided based on eligibility. The team you will be leading consists of highly motivated engineers focused on leveraging automation and process controls to support and improve manufacturing. ADM assets transform natural products into a complete portfolio of ingredients and flavors for foods and beverages, supplements, nutrition for pets and livestock, and more. The Process Automation Manager will coordinate their team’s efforts with Operations and other Technology Centers to support operations and execute strategic projects. You should have a strong understanding of Industrial Automation systems and their interdependencies with other disciplines, as well as project execution methodologies. You will lead large and complex projects within ADM and coordinate with other automation teams to share resources and opportunities for global operation of the Process Automation and Operational Technology Center. You will also work with Operations Leadership to execute optimization, continuous improvement, standardization, and development plans for your team. Responsible for safe, reliable, and secure process automation systems in plants within area of responsibility. Ensure all process automation deliverables meet the needs of operations and projects, on time and within budget, through close partnership with Operations and plant leaders. Accountable for automation installations and tasks in plants and areas under purview; maintain safe and reliable plant operations; actively manage and assign work by priority. Develop team members through guidance, training resources, and individual development plans; foster leadership and technical skills via mentorship. Mitigate risk and optimize processes through new technology and continuous improvement of automation systems; lead future automation innovations. Drive KPIs for process automation aligned with Global Operations; accountable for area KPIs and contribute to Global team/Performance Excellence initiatives. Develop and maintain written standards; drive change management in line with global PA and OT Center standards. Ensure sustainment of ADM’s continuous improvement methodology and standard work; promote colleague development. Ensure compliance with safety and other EH&S requirements. Manage third-party suppliers/contractors (where applicable). Occasional on-call duty and business travel may be required. Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience. At least 5 years of Process Automation, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience. Extensive knowledge of one or more process control platforms (Rockwell PlantPAx, Emerson DeltaV, Valmet D/3, PI, Siemens, or Honeywell). Proven experience in intelligent process automation planning and development. Strong self-motivation and self-direction. Excellent communication skills across conceptual and practical levels for diverse stakeholders. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Commitment to environmental, safety, and quality compliance and improvement. Ability to drive change, resolve conflicts, and work on the factory floor with ADM values of respect and inclusion. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and collaborate with remote team members. Financial acumen and ability to manage and control costs. Willingness to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Previous leadership experience with direct reports or in a leadership role. Continuous and batch process automation experience. Experience with control system migration, modernization, and industrial transformation projects. Packaging, Warehouse Management, and/or Robotics experience. Working knowledge of Cybersecurity, OT networking, and system integration. Continuous improvement experience in manufacturing using lean methodologies (e.g., Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System). ADM requires the successful completion of a background check. The pay range for this position is $104,100.00 - $195,300.00. Salaried employees are eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive plans.
