Location: Denver, CO

Job Type: Travel Contract

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 4×10 Days (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with weekly night call and rotating weekend call

Pay: $2,424/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO. TheCath Lab RN will provide expert care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, electrophysiology (EP), and congenital procedures. This is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

Assist physicians during a wide variety of procedures, including left/right heart catheterizations (LHC/RHC), congenital interventions, vascular procedures, and EP studies.

Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and responses to medications and interventions throughout procedures.

Administer moderate sedation and emergency medications per hospital policy and physician direction.

Operate and maintain specialized Cath Lab equipment, including GE systems, Mac-Lab monitoring, and Meditech EMR.

Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies, performing ACLS and supporting advanced resuscitative measures when needed.

Participate in the on-call rotation for nights and weekends, providing support for urgent and emergent procedures.

Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility infection control, safety, and quality standards.

Demonstrate teamwork, strong communication, and a positive, proactive attitude to promote a cohesive Cath Lab environment.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience (RCIS or RCES credentials accepted).

ACLS required; PALS preferred.

Proficiency in cardiac, vascular, and EP procedures, including adult and pediatric congenital cases.

Experience using GE equipment, Mac-Lab systems, and Meditech EMR preferred.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.

Strong critical-thinking and assessment skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Positive, team-oriented personality with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
