Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Position Location: Waycross, GA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5×8 Days (with call rotation; must be within 30 minutes of facility) Pay: $2,536/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a 231-bed acute care facility in Waycross, Georgia. The RN will assist in all diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, including electrophysiology studies, pacemaker insertions, and peripheral interventions. This role requires strong critical care, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural skills, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. The RN will participate in a rotating on-call schedule and is expected to respond within 30 minutes when called in. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, monitor vital signs and hemodynamic data, and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cases. Scrub and circulate in both GE and Toshiba Cath Labs for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Administer and document medications according to facility protocol. Operate and maintain monitoring and imaging equipment used in the Cath Lab. Recognize and respond promptly to complications or changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in MERGE and Meditech systems. Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and families. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure positive patient outcomes. Participate in on-call rotation and weekend/holiday coverage in accordance with hospital policy. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards. Qualifications Active Georgia RN license or Compact State RN license (required). Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience (required). Certifications required: BLS and ACLS. Experience with diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral vascular procedures (required). Experience with electrophysiology (EP), pacemakers, and ICD procedures (preferred). Proficiency with MERGE and Meditech documentation systems. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to function effectively in high-pressure procedural environments. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
