Technical Business Systems Analyst (Business Sys Analyst II)

CorVel is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to drive software automation improvement initiatives through the collection and analysis of system and application data. This role involves measuring application activity and behavior, analyzing the results, presenting findings to leadership, and proposing enhancements.
The analyst will also work closely with our Customer Acceptance Testing coordinator to plan and execute test scenarios and will collaborate with both internal and external customers on workflow configurations and technical troubleshooting. This is a high‑visibility position that combines regular interaction with internal stakeholders and focused analytical work.
This is a remote role.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned project areas
Diagnose complex business problems using system knowledge, analytics and SQL
Define, implement, and track KPIs to measure project success
Lead /participate in regular meetings with the Customer Acceptance Testing Coordinator, development teams, and project stakeholders
Identify opportunities for automation and improved quality controls. Follow team protocol for updating, recording and organizing documentation.
Maintain clear, organized documentation following team standards
Able to prioritize workload independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Support high-quality software delivery by understanding business needs and enterprise applications
Education, Skills, & Experience
4+ years as a Business Analyst or Technical Product Manager
4+ years’ experience writing and executing complex SQL queries
2+ years working with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
Outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with build/release processes and continuous integration
Quick to learn new systems and adapt in dynamic environments
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience
Experience in healthcare or insurance industries
Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Familiarity with APIs and web service integrations
Hands‑on software development experience
Pay Range CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $76,207 - $117,662
