Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $65.00 to $70.00 per hour.

Overview

Accounting Manager position to oversee daily accounting activities for a portfolio of real estate assets, manage financial close cycles, and support budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily accounting activities for a portfolio of real estate assets, including residential and commercial properties
• Manage financial close cycles and ensure timely preparation of accurate reports
• Review financial statements to confirm alignment with accounting standards and internal policies
• Monitor project-level cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance and support audits

Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years in accounting, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Familiarity with real estate accounting practices, including lease and development cost tracking
• Skilled in using financial software such as Yardi, MRI, or QuickBooks
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in financial reporting
• Capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is a plus
• Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting staff in a collaborative environment
• Experience implementing process improvements and optimizing accounting systems
• Effective communicator with the ability to present financial insights to stakeholders
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with asset management and development teams
