Position Accounting Manager

Red Cat Holdings is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager. We are a leading innovator in drone technology, supporting defense, public safety, and commercial applications. The role will own and manage the full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls as the company scales. This hands-on position requires attention to detail in daily operations while driving continuous improvement across the P2P function. The role is based at Teal Drones, a Red Cat subsidiary, in Salt Lake City, UT and reports to the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the procure-to-pay accounting cycle, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, accrued liabilities, and related reconciliations.
• Develop and refine P2P accounting processes and policies to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Identify risks within the P2P cycle and implement appropriate controls to mitigate them.
• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Payroll to support business growth while maintaining strong governance.
• Support quarterly and annual financial audits, including SOX compliance requirements, related to P2P activities.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive system and process automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for P2P-related accounting guidance and technical considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred), and/or experience at a public company or high-growth/scaling company.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with ambiguity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Requirements

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Use of PPE may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, per safety protocols.
• May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections or maintenance.
• Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
• Occasional off-hours or weekend work for emergency facility responses or projects.
• Requires frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment.
