VISN 15 – Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program Team (BHIP) Psychiatry – Remote / Telehealth (Primary Clinic)
Summary Pharmacologically and psychotherapeutically advanced psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services to Veterans via virtual and in‑person modalities. Primary provider of tele‑health psychiatric care, treatment planning, crisis management, and interprofessional consultation within the VISN Clinical Resource Hub.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for PTSD, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and other complex conditions.
Administer medication management and deliver individual, marital, and group psychotherapy, tailored to each Veteran’s needs.
Provide family and caregiver stress support, crisis intervention, and safety counseling.
Consult Veterans, families, Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIP), and interdisciplinary team members on assessment, education, and treatment.
Utilize tele‑health technologies (Clinical Video Telehealth) for all clinical services; maintain high quality of care and patient safety.
Engage in continuous quality improvement, performance metrics, and evidence‑based practice.
Qualifications
United States citizenship; foreign nationals appointed only when no qualified citizen can be recruited.
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine graduate from an accredited U.S. medical school.
Current, full and unrestricted U.S. medical license in any state.
Completed residency in psychiatry (ACGME or AOA accredited; board certification preferred).
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Proficiency in advanced psychopharmacology, substance abuse treatment, psychotherapy, and tele‑health technologies.
Background security investigation, drug screening, physical examination, and influenza vaccination required.
