Join Northrop Grumman’s Microelectronics Center (NGMC) as the SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Lead Manager 3. This dual‑role manager will provide leadership for the SMT, manage supplier performance, and contribute technical work on program integration. The position is available on‑site in the greater Baltimore, MD area OR Redondo Beach, CA. What You’ll Do
Lead and motivate the SMT team, set objectives, and oversee the integration of supplied parts and systems. Develop statements of work and specifications, evaluate supplier capabilities, and perform technical reviews. Manage risk and opportunity related to supplied parts, and negotiate with suppliers when required. Support engineering staff development, engineering process development, and program resource planning (80% technical / 20% functional). Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 12 years of experience (10 years with master’s, 8 years with PhD). Proven leadership and motivation of engineering teams. Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle and systems behavior definition. Leading multi‑disciplinary engineering (software, hardware, electrical) in cross‑functional teams. Systems engineering participation in Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). DoD systems engineering knowledge and Familiarity with EVMS. Cost account management experience and risk/opportunity management. U.S. citizen with current Active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI w. Polygraph before start. Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD TS/SCI w. Polygraph clearance. Hardware or Digital Engineering, Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering background. Use of engineering management tools (DOORS, Cameo). Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE) experience. Supplier Management Team experience and drafting Statements of Work. Project & Task Management tools (Jira, Confluence). Compensation & Benefits
Primary level salary range: $187,000.00 – $280,600.00.
