Senior Principal SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Systems Engineer .
What You’ll Get To Do Technical leader within a dedicated Supplier Management Team. Provides leadership for the SMT; sets objectives for other members of this SMT, including GSC, Business Management, Quality/MA to oversee the Cost, Schedule, Technical, and Quality performance of the supplier (subcontractor or GFX supplier). Manages risk and opportunity related to supplied parts and their integration into the segment or system. Develops statements of work and specifications, evaluates supplier capabilities with respect to segment and system requirements, performs regular technical reviews and participates in negotiations when required.
This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area OR Redondo Beach, CA. This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Systems Engineer
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 years of experience with PhD
Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle
Demonstrated experience defining systems behavior
Experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in Cross-Functional Teams
Knowledge of Systems Engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
Risk and Opportunity Management experience
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Current active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and a polygraph prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications for Senior Principal SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Systems Engineer
Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
Degree or professional experience in Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering
Use of Engineering management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)
Previous experience working in a Supplier Management Team
Experience drafting Statements of Work and developing and managing schedules
Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira, Confluence
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
