Overview We are looking for qualified candidates to support our IT department’s Desktop Support team. This is a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door with a local enterprise company and grow their skills within IT Support with the possibility to advance their careers. Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience is preferred, and IT certifications are desirable. This will be a first shift opportunity on a Contract to Hire basis.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and a range of software applications.

Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.

Re‑image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.

Assist users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.

Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.

Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.

Install and configure new IT equipment.

Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.

Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.

Maintain a first‑class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

Qualifications

Previous Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or PC Technician experience preferred.

IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) desirable.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Pay range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour (Contract to Hire).
