Overview
Manufacturing Engineer – Plastic Molding – Pembroke Pines, FL. Design, develop, and fabricate high quality plastic molding tools and processes for automotive industry customers. Responsibilities
Design new molds and tooling based on customer product requirements and automotive industry quality standards. Lead new mold sampling, troubleshooting, and validation efforts. Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and overall manufacturing efficiency. Specify, source, purchase, and commission new molding machinery and tooling. Research, design, and implement new manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and machinery. Transfer technology from pilot plant to manufacturing facilities and optimize molding setup and overall production. Troubleshoot molding and manufacturing processes and material issues. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. 5+ years experience in plastic molding as tooling, manufacturing, or process engineer. Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, thermoset, injection mold, blow mold, extrusion, and tooling design. Proven track record in materials, tooling, and process development and improvement. Compensation
Salary range $90,000 – $160,000 total compensation. Includes base salary, bonus plan, 401(k) match, company paid full family medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage, and stock options. Contact
