The Department of Administration currently has an opening in the Postal Services team for Shipping & Receiving Materials Handlers located in the Capitol Mall area in beautiful downtown Boise. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required. The ability to type at least 30 words per minute is ideal. We serve Idaho by promoting responsible government through expert customer support. This position has the potential to flex between the Capital Mall and the State of Idaho’s Chinden Campus. Example of Duties: Safely operate a box truck to complete scheduled delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate transport of materials FAST

paced team environment! Loud working environment Never a dull moment with the opportunity to learn a variety of different functions and maybe even get a little exercise doing it! Opportunity to operate intricate machines like a document folder, inserter, flat sorter, and letter sorter. Sort, deliver, and pick up mail to and from the post office and interdepartmental sites. Process, weigh, and meter all classes of mail using metering equipment and scales. Process bulk mail and First Class Presort per US Postal rules and regulations. Provide outstanding customer service and support to a broad customer base that includes other state agencies, lawmakers and universities that rely on our services every day. Safely operate heavy machinery and equipment throughout the day High volume of package processing Minimum Qualifications: Some knowledge of: Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Experience: Handling, storing, and shipping materials orsupplies;

operating material handlingequipment;

accessing information on acomputer;

reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Willingness to: Be trainedonthe operation of power and/or handtools;

greet individuals, answer phones, and provide information tocustomers;

bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50pounds;

stand and walk continuously throughout an8 hourshift;

work in dusty and dirty conditions; handle and store hazardousmaterials;

clean andmaintaina safe working environment.

Specialty MQ: A valid driver's license isrequired.
