Position Overview Tax Supervisor – Private Client Services. Boston office, flexible hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
Technical planning and advising of high-profile individuals/families and related entities (C‑Corp, S‑Corp, Trusts, Partnerships).
Work on engagement deliverables (tax returns, work papers, etc.), participate in technical and strategic reviews, ensure quality control standards, and meet on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Prepare or review complex tax returns for partnerships, high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, estates, and foundations.
Own client work assigned for completion.
Strategize with Managers on tax planning; research tax issues and provide guidance to staff on engagements.
Work closely with less‑experienced staff and assist management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
Foster a team environment, demonstrate support of management decisions, and build a positive culture.
Communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
4+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting.
Strong experience with individual taxation (high net worth), trusts, gifts, and estates.
CPA certification or EA highly preferred.
Experience researching tax issues and developing effective tax‑planning strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple high-level workstreams simultaneously.
Ability to translate complex data into client‑ready insights and deliverables.
Developed public accounting management experience.
