Seeking a seasoned Employment & Labor Attorney to join a global law firm known for its innovation, teamwork, and forward-thinking approach. J.D. from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the California Bar, or eligible to waive 7–8 years of experience practicing labor and employment law Proven experience in California employment litigation, advice, and counseling Demonstrated experience with wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims Must be based within driving distance to Los Angeles or willing to relocate Must Haves
Perform legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and dispositive filings Draft and respond to discovery and meet-and-confer correspondence Defend clients in individual and class action wage and hour and PAGA claims in court and arbitration Handle government investigations and agency responses Advise clients on California employment laws, compliance issues, and workplace policies Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, and handbooks Provide direct counseling and support to clients on complex employment matters Preferred Background & Skills
Prior trial experience or substantial motion and deposition practice Strong knowledge of California Labor Code, FEHA, PAGA, and related statutes Familiarity with drafting employment manuals and compliance documentation Strong client relationship management and communication skills Excellent judgment and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion High attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
