Base pay range

$48,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department, strong knowledge of legal procedures, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing as required
  • Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, and court dates
  • Manage case files, including organizing, scanning, and maintaining document databases
  • Answer phones, screen calls, and handle client communications in a professional manner
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and tracking deadlines
  • Provide general office support to attorneys and paralegals as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
  • Familiarity with state and federal court rules, filing procedures, and deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
  • Excellent typing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
