Sedona Staffing Services in Killeen, Texas is immediately hiring for a skilled Forklift Driver!

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Killeen, TX

Work Hours: Monday-Friday,3 PM to 11 PM

Pay: $17.00/hr-$18.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using forklifts or other equipment.
Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Read work orders or receive oral instructions from Lead Material Handler
Stack cargo in locations using pallets or cargo boards.
Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Direct spouts and position receptacles, such as bins, carts, or containers, so they can be loaded.
Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads.
Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.
Guide loads being lifted to prevent swinging.
Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
Follow all established safety procedures
Other duties as assigned by the Production Lead

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate for the Material Handler position will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1+ years of related experience
Forklift operation certification preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to work unsupervised
Operation of forklifts and/or other conveying machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, etc.
Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools
Basic math abilities
Mechanical aptitude
Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills
Uncompromising commitment to safety
Ability to communicate effectively in English

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Able to reach in all directions
Walk and stand for extended periods of time to cover 10 - 12-hour shifts
Other physical requirements as needed for job
