Optimoz is seeking a
DevOps Cloud Engineer
to design, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for Java/J2EE applications. The role focuses on automation, security, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities
Setup and support AWS infrastructure automation using EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
Build and maintain CI/CD processes with Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, and source control integration.
Implement DevOps policies, standards, governance, and technical guidance.
Analyze and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities and enforce security compliance.
Provide deployment support for production and other environments.
Participate in sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint progress tracking.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud automation, and CI/CD.
Proficiency with AWS services and CloudFormation.
Experience with configuration management (Chef preferred, Ansible, Puppet).
Hands‑on Linux and source control expertise.
Knowledge of networking, security protocols, and compliance (NIST, FISMA).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in an Agile, fast‑paced environment.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen, clearable for Public Trust.
Location Washington, DC (Remote options available).
