Optimoz
Optimoz is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to set up and maintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure Automation, Kubernetes, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for multiple applications. The role involves creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD processes across environments, writing and maintaining build and deployment scripts, and improving agility and quality of software delivery.
Responsibilities
Setup and support AWS infrastructure automation using services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation templates, CloudWatch.
Set up and support container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Support developers from source control through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, and deployment based on tool usage, policies, and standards.
Implement devops policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance.
Analyze software and infrastructure vulnerabilities to determine risk, impact, and remediation strategies – drive remediation of defects through automation.
Manage security compliance including client and server patching, endpoint protection, and configuration management.
Participate in technical evaluations, solution and design discussions with the team lead.
Deploy services/applications to various environments, including production.
Participate in sprint reviews, retrospectives, and maintain sprint progress.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to excel within an Agile environment.
Experience with open source technologies and tools such as Chef, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Java, and Ruby.
Solid experience with Kubernetes and AWS Cloud services including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation templates, CloudWatch.
Experience with system-level configuration management tools and automating infrastructure/code deployment and management – Chef preferred, others include Puppet and Ansible.
Understanding of protocols such as SSL/TLS, CIFS, HTTP/S, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP/S, and DNS.
Hands‑on experience with Linux.
Experience with Open Source Repository Manager – Sonatype Nexus.
Experience with systems and IT operations.
Proficiency in frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
Knowledgeable in networking concepts and services such as VPNs, IPSec, PKI, and TCP/IP.
Experienced in security directives, policies, publications, and regulations including NIST Security Controls and FISMA.
Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and cross-functional teamwork.
Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and aptitude for setting priorities and meeting timelines.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.
Education A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
