Overview
VP, IT Operations – Dallas Metro / Hybrid (4 days per week in office)
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer – leading enterprise technology operations across a distributed, multi‑site environment.
Responsibilities
Lead IT Operations:
Oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments (Azure/AWS), networks, storage, and end‑user technologies across 400+ distributed sites.
Drive Service Delivery:
Lead helpdesk, field support, and ITSM functions; ensure fast, consistent, high‑quality support for field and corporate teams.
Manage Vendors:
Direct MSPs and technology partners; renegotiate contracts, improve SLAs, and deliver cost and performance improvements.
Support Field & Critical Systems:
Oversee devices, telephony, imaging systems, and other critical end‑user technologies.
Collaborate on Security & Compliance:
Partner with security leadership to maintain HIPAA, PCI, and other regulatory readiness while ensuring operational resiliency.
Modernize & Scale:
Consolidate legacy systems, standardize processes, and implement scalable, cloud‑based solutions that enhance reliability.
Lead & Develop Teams:
Manage a multi‑layered IT team including network operations, infrastructure, field techs, and service delivery (12+ based in Dallas).
Business Partnership:
Work closely with the CTO and business leaders to ensure IT operations directly enable growth and service quality.
Field Visibility:
Travel periodically (~25–30%) to field locations to maintain operational alignment and visibility.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive IT leadership in multi‑site, distributed environments (100+ locations minimum; 300–500+ ideal).
Background in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other field‑centric industries where uptime and service are critical.
Experience managing multi‑layered teams (20–100+ FTEs or MSP equivalents) across infrastructure, service delivery, and field support.
Proven success modernizing systems, consolidating vendors, and implementing scalable network and cloud solutions.
Strong vendor management and budget accountability experience.
Technical depth across infrastructure, cloud, and networking (Azure, AWS, Cisco Meraki).
Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ServiceNow, Jira, ITIL) and enterprise endpoint technologies.
Experience operating in regulated industries preferred (healthcare, finance, or retail).
