Job Description
Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC is hiring a Drafter/CAD Operator in San Diego, CA. The role will assist in developing mechanical and electrical assemblies and drawings for shipboard and ashore communications systems currently being configured for the US Navy. The selected candidate will work directly with the Government customer to assess materials, develop components, interpret and approve drawing requirements for multiple engineering tasks across a broad technology scope.
Responsibilities
Create template shore and shipboard drawings with AutoCAD using standards defined by the Shore Installation Project Handbook (SIPH) and US Navy shipboard drawing guidance as outlined in NAVSEA TS9090-310F and compliant with Technical Specification 9090-600 (Series), Ship Alteration (SHIPALT) Installation Drawing (SID) Preparation.
Learn and use software such as SolidEdge, FARO Scene, Rhino 3D, Reliasoft Synthesis, Ultimaker 3D.
Perform configuration management (drawing revisions/changes) in accordance with ASME Y14.35.
Provide mechanical assembly design support for project antennas, cables, and electronic enclosures for both legacy and developmental items.
May require periodic ship and shore site visits for drawing updates, review, and new installation design.
Requirements
4+ years of specific experience developing Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.5B.
4+ years of specific experience developing Installation Design Packages (IDPs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.1.
Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline desirable (not required).
Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130) required. Desirable knowledge of additional specifications.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
Compensation Payrate: $33.65 to $45.00 Hourly
