Program Context The Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office (PMW 790) acquires support services in production systems engineering, logistics, installation management, and integration/planning/requirements services for multiple shore and expeditionary C4I programs. PMW 790’s mission is to acquire, integrate, deliver, and support interoperable shore‑based C4I capabilities for the warfighter.

Position Summary Drafter / CAD Operator II

designs installation drawings on the PMW 790 Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office contract. The role reports to the Program Manager and works with engineers and other subject matter experts to interpret design concepts, validate drawing requirements, and coordinate work.

Responsibilities

Support Systems Engineers and Senior AutoCAD specialists with Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP), and As‑Built drawings.

Review IRDs, IDPs, and As‑Builts for compliance with SIPH and IRD standards.

Conduct IDP and IRD reviews to document hardware installations and provide guidance.

Conduct surveys of shore sites to support drawing development.

Provide guidance to other IRD and IDP developers and reviewers; compile and distribute lessons learned.

Respond to data calls: research, gather, sort, and present information.

Bid and proposal support as requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Active Secret clearance is required.

HS Diploma required.

One year of experience creating AutoCAD drawings: network diagrams, floor plans, elevations, building plans, landscapes, maps, electrical, electronic, and mechanical details.

Experience updating existing AutoCAD drawing red lines to current state.

Organizational skills and ability to communicate complex ideas visually.

Basic math skills for scaling and formulas.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents.

Ability to perform duties under deadlines and scheduling commitments.

Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.

Strong time‑management skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing, and challenging environment.

10% travel required.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in engineering or related technical field is desired.

Experience with SPAWAR Shore Installation Handbook v4.1, Installation Database (SPIDER and IMO Tracker), SPAWAR 4.2 Formatting checklist v4.1, FRCB standards and processes, Advanced Electronics training and background, networking diagrams and components.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain seated 50% of the time; must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.

Compensation & Benefits The expected base pay range is $23.00 - $33.00 per hour. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), performance bonuses, and other rewards.
