Senior Project Architect / Senior Associate
Location : Atlanta, GA
Sector / Projects : Performing Arts Centers / Theater Design
Working Style : Hybrid working style, 3 days in office
We're working with a nationally recognized architecture and design firm to identify a Senior Associate with performing arts and theater design experience. This is a highly visible role within their Atlanta office, ideal for a licensed architect who thrives in client-facing roles and has led complex cultural projects from concept through construction. As a Senior Associate, you play an integral role in the success of projects and client relationships. In this role, you’ll work independently across all phases of the design process—from presentations and schematics to construction administration—while meeting budgets, schedules, and project goals. You should bring proven experience leading teams and be ready to manage multiple small- to mid-sized projects or lead sub-teams on larger efforts from start to finish.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited architecture program
8+ years of experience in a professional architecture environment, experience in the design and detailing of performing arts centers and theater facilities is desired
Licensed architect practicing in the industry
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, additional proficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling and rendering programs is desirable
Knowledge of project management, materials and systems, project design and detailing, and the preparation of drawings and specifications from schematic design through construction documents
Experienced in all phases and aspects of conventional architecture and projects, specifically performing arts centers and theater design
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a collaborative, professional manner
Able to solve problems with attention to detail and a desire to learn
Able to work independently with little to no supervision
Able to provide feedback to team members through verbal conversations, annual performance reviews, and direct project feedback and redlines
