Responsibilities for a technical architect include:
Assist and engage with project teams at every phase, particularly Construction Documents, to ensure standards, code compliance, overall quality control of documents and implementation. Perform building and life safety code research and analysis based on project type, scope and location. Incorporate applied building science + envelope knowledge and research into implementation documentation. Problem solve creatively to protect design integrity throughout QA/QC. Assist with specification templates and product research. Assist with periodic product submittal review for conformance with contract documents. Confident communication and coordination with consultants, codes officials, industry reps, contractors + subcontractors and internal teams. Skill sets that will make you a successful team member at HLGstudio include:
Master of Architecture. 8+ years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or related field(s). Demonstrated knowledge of architectural building and envelope systems, detailing, and code requirement. Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience at all project and design phases, as well as construction administration. Experience with building repositioning, office, retail, and education. Proficiency in architectural software, including but not limited to Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office. Benefits for open positions include the following:
