Coordinate with stakeholders to understand database integrations and replication needs. Document integration and replication requirements and the implementation plan. Engage with database and application development teams for data consistency requirements. Improve data synchronization and replication efficiency with support teams. Own and refine product requirements and user stories. Prioritize the backlog of features. Determine the product capability roadmap with the IT Operations team and business sponsor. Assess and implement changes in database replication as needed. Manage the product backlog for Pro2SQL replication features and issues. Ensure database replication design and implementation are complete and valid. Document business requirements, user stories, and configuration changes. Maintain the JIRA board for database related projects. Engage stakeholders for user acceptance testing and produce release notes. Ensure team adherence to timelines and quality standards. Facilitate communication between stakeholders for replication‑related work. Gather and analyze user feedback during rollout phases and adjust strategy. Plan and oversee integrations’ release to ensure a smooth transition. Qualifications
Deep understanding of Progress OpenEdge database architecture, including CDC and trigger‑based replication. Familiarity with OpenEdge ABL and schema design. Knowledge of Pro2 replication flow, ReplQueue, CDC threads, and bulk loading. Strong grasp of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database structures, performance tuning, and replication. Experience with Azure SQL Server (VM‑hosted preferred). Ability to design normalized and denormalized schemas and optimize indexes. Skilled in troubleshooting data sync issues, latency problems, and system errors in Progress OpenEdge and SQL environments. Strong command of SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Experience with ETL processes between external systems using Pro2SQL or similar tools. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Autonomous, requiring little direction from the manager on daily tasks.
