Overview The City of Miami Beach seeks a solution-oriented facilities and fleet leader who excels in a fast-paced environment. This position serves on the City’s executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management and maintenance of an extensive portfolio of City‑owned assets including facilities, real property, and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

Lead the Asset Management Division in managing a portfolio of over 387 parcels totaling approximately 30 million square feet.

Direct the Facilities Management Division in the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of 101 municipal buildings, the Lincoln Road District, 39 bridges, 15 monuments, 23 fountains, and other City assets.

Oversee the Fleet Management Division, maintaining and repairing the City’s fleet of roughly 1,250 vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, light trucks, vans, heavy‑duty trucks, and specialty equipment.

Make data‑driven decisions and provide exceptional customer service to City residents, visitors, and employees.

Collaborate with City leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for facilities, asset management, and fleet operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, public administration, or a related field, OR seven (7) years of progressively responsible management experience.

Public sector experience is preferred.

Seven (7) years of experience relevant to the major duties and essential functions of the position.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $152,246 – $275,448 per year. Expected hiring range: $220,000 – $240,000, depending on qualifications. The City offers an excellent benefits package.
