Chelsea NYC An award-winning New York City hospitality group, known for its vibrant, ingredient-driven restaurants, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to lead one of its most acclaimed and dynamic kitchens. This is a rare opportunity to join a creative, high-performing team that continues to earn top recognition from major publications and guests alike.

About the Restaurant This acclaimed concept celebrates bold, seasonal flavors inspired by the markets of the Mediterranean and the Middle East — reimagined through the lens of New York energy and creativity. The open kitchen and lively dining room create an unforgettable atmosphere that blends community, warmth, and culinary innovation.
Role & Responsibilities
The Chef de Cuisine will report to the Executive Chef and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in both culinary execution and leadership.
Lead daily kitchen operations and manage a talented team of cooks and sous chefs.
Execute and refine an ingredient-driven, high-energy menu.
Uphold exceptional standards of consistency, flavor, and presentation.
Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff while fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Partner with leadership on menu development, sourcing, and operational strategy.
Maintain top-tier kitchen organization, safety, and sanitation standards.
Drive creativity while aligning with the restaurant’s culinary vision.
Qualifications
Strong culinary background with experience in high-volume, high-profile restaurants.
Proven leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for Mediterranean or Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine and open-fire cooking.
Commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and operational excellence.
A hands-on, humble leader who thrives in collaborative settings.
Schedule & Compensation Schedule: ~55 hours per week.
Two consecutive days off guaranteed.
Dinner service only.
Salary: $95,000–$115,000 (commensurate with experience).
