Position Overview
The Civil Engineer performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Reports to a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Strong desire to learn site civil engineering. Pay Range
$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Performs basic site civil engineering design tasks including grading, drainage, roadways, erosion and sediment control, and utilities for public and private sector clients. Uses basic hydrology, earthwork, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Prepares design of utility plans including sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer mains. Applies knowledge and techniques of site civil engineering to prepare grading and drainage plans. Prepares earthwork quantity estimates. Prepares cover sheets, engineering notes, and construction details for inclusion in construction documents. Prepares roadway plans and profiles. Prepares simple submittals to State, Municipal, and other agencies and contributes to more complex submittals. Provides limited assistance in preparation of specifications and contract documents. Manages project files for conformance with company standards. Keeps Project Engineers and Managers informed of workload. Is active in technical societies. Interacts with other departments and offices to coordinate work. Other duties may be assigned. Relocation is available. Benefits
