Water Resources Engineer, Entry Level - WR0015. Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-starting, and energetic entry-level water resources engineer looking to advance their career at a forward-thinking firm focused on delivering excellence in transportation and water resources. The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of experience and will work out of our Denver South or Fort Collins office. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex water resources projects including hydrology and hydraulics support for transportation projects, as well as standalone projects such as stream restoration, floodplain analysis, and major outfall systems. Responsibilities

Roadway drainage design including hydrology and hydraulics for projects with roadside ditches, curb and gutter sections, complex storm sewer design with utility conflicts, retrofitting storm sewer design, and coordinating with existing downstream systems Stormwater quality and detention design including post-construction stormwater quality control measures (SCMs) recommended by CDOT and MHFD, Construction Control Measures for sediment and erosion control, and familiarity with MS4 permit requirements Bridge and culvert hydraulic analysis, including sizing proposed structures, analyzing existing structures, scour analysis, and design for scour protection and countermeasures Floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS (1D and 2D) to support floodplain development permit applications, and preparing CLOMR/LOMR applications to FEMA Use computer-aided design software to prepare engineering documents (plans, profiles, details, quantities, construction costs, reports, and specifications) Support construction projects by reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, and conducting field visits to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications Assist in preparing scope, budget, and scheduling of projects and proposals Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on water resources from an accredited four-year college or university; master's degree considered a plus 0-2 years of experience in water resources design and stormwater quality design Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer is desired Experience with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software such as CUHP, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CulvertMaster, HY8, FlowMaster, StormCAD, SewerGems, EPA SWMM, etc. preferred Engineering Intern Certification required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

The base pay range for this position is $72,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr. Actual offer will consider your skills, qualifications, and experience.
