1. The Department
The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’.
Our Primary School Sport and Education department is striving to be at the forefront of supporting schools across the city through innovative curriculums and bespoke delivery. The department oversees our Primary School Sport and Education programmes that aim to engage and inspire children and teachers across the National Curriculum using the power of the club, football and the Premier League.
2. The Role The Education Officer will deliver on all aspects of our Primary School Sport & Education programme, covering several areas of the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum, including physical education, numeracy, literacy, health and wellbeing.
Within this part of the role, you will deliver high quality lessons in different primary schools across the academic year, linking the delivery to the National Curriculum and using Premier League Primary Stars and Aston Villa branding to engage learners. As well as this, you will support teachers to increase their confidence, knowledge and skills in delivering high quality physical education lessons.

3. The Person We are seeking a driven and passionate individual with the ability to create, develop and implement high quality, varied and creative educational projects and activities. You will have demonstrable experience of working in a school and/ or community sports organisation and have knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.
You will also have experience of delivering educational workshops within different environments and working with whole class and small group interventions, as well as being capable of mentoring and supporting adults in a coaching or education capacity.
