– 2 days in office, 3 days remote Travel : between 20-30% Hours/Schedule : Expect 45-50 hours per week Other requirements : MUST be a US Citizen Team Description : This individual will lead a team of 2 auditors, and report to the Chief Accounting Officer This job in a nutshell Set the strategic direction for the global trade compliance audit program, ensuring alignment with evolving regulations and company objectives. Lead the annual risk assessment process to identify and prioritize compliance risks related to global trade activities. Oversee the development and execution of audit plans and procedures to evaluate adherence to international trade laws and internal policies. Track audit findings, monitor corrective actions, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and outstanding issues. Stay current on changes to U.S. and international trade regulations, recommending updates to company policies and procedures as needed. Build strong partnerships across departments and business units to foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on audit outcomes, trends, and risk mitigation efforts. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required. Other duties as assigned. We are looking for Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CECP, CIP) preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in trade compliance, including export and import regulations (ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs). Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading compliance audit programs in complex, global environments. Experience in manufacturing, consulting, or professional services is highly valued. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Analytical, strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
