Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. Your primary goal will be to increase our organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.

Works at a peer level with other executives.

Provides oversight and vision for the hiring, coaching, counseling, promotions, development, and training of staff to all areas of responsibility to ensure the quality, culture, and consistency of their teams.

Advises the President and CEO on logistical, operations, and engagement issues, along with identifying opportunities to support the strategic plan.

Contributes to organization-wide decision-making and strategic planning.

Defines, implements, and revises operational, safety, and security policies and guidelines for the organization.

Partner with President and CEO to determine staffing needs and budgets across departments; planning and reviewing compensation strategies.

Support the President and CEO with operational data and guidance, vision, and strategic thought.

Oversees all functions of guest experience, facilities, and information technology operations; including but not limited to budget development and financial reporting, admissions and front-line services, maintenance and capital projects, and technology infrastructure and data management.

Oversees and evaluates operating hours.

Maintains a high-quality visitor experience by establishing standards for staff to provide a high level of customer service.

Through the Supervisor of Guest Experience, provide management oversight of all food service, retail, admission, and customer service activities.

Attend Board of Trustees meetings, committee meetings, and community meetings as required.

Consistently ensures accrediting standards are met and exceeded; oversees proceedings for reaccreditation.

Makes effective and persuasive presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Creates and assesses operational statements and operating documents; reads, analyzes, and interprets complex documents.

Represents senior management to guests, team members, regulatory agencies, and members of the community.

Represent senior management at agency and partner meetings including New York State Parks, the City of Niagara Falls Code Enforcement, Fire Department, and Police Department.

Manage facility-wide severe weather protocols; periodically assess and make recommendations for revisions to severe weather protocols.

Serves as the senior executive over campus operations, ensuring efficient overall operations including scheduling and training of managers on duty.

Cultivates and provides opportunities for rising talent within the organization.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requested Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, finance, public administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

A minimum of ten years in progressive leadership positions

Crisis management and organizational safety experience.

Socially dynamic and confident in large groups.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.

Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with all team members and external contacts.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; an intellectual curiosity; the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity as well as to negotiate conversations/details.

Demonstrated commitment to collaboration as well as the ability to work well both independently and collectively with a diverse team and donor/prospect constituency.

Excellent judgement, listening skills, and diplomacy.

Ability to travel beyond the borders of Western New York, and to work evenings and on occasional weekends.

Possession of a valid New York State motor vehicle operator’s license and a good driving record required.

Working Conditions

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, knee, stoop, crawl, twist, reach above head, pull bend, and climb stairs and ladders.

Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds, work on un-even and slippery surfaces, withstand temperatures of hot and cold, and sit/stand for long periods of time when necessary.
