Business Development Associate – Retail Expansion
We are looking for a motivated
Business Development Associate
to support the growth of our retail footprint. This role will assist with
site selection, store design coordination, construction tracking, franchisee support, vendor sourcing, and budget management , helping ensure new stores and upgrades are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in researching and evaluating potential store sites, preparing reports and analyses for review.
Support lease negotiations by gathering documentation and coordinating with brokers and landlords.
Help coordinate store design, remodels, and construction projects, ensuring timelines and brand standards are tracked.
Provide day‑to‑day support to franchisees during site selection and build‑out.
Assist in sourcing and comparing vendors, maintaining updated databases of contacts and costs.
Help track project budgets, invoices, and schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Support compliance efforts by gathering information on zoning, permits, building codes, and ADA requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (or relevant internship/experience).
1–3 years of experience in retail development, real estate, or project coordination (internships count).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Good communication skills and teamwork mindset, especially when supporting franchisees and cross‑functional teams.
