Tenure-Track Faculty 2025-2026 at The Johns Hopkins University – Whiting School of Engineering and Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics. Johns Hopkins is investing in Data Science and AI, adding 150 new faculty positions and building a new Data Science and AI Institute. Responsibilities
Establish and advance a multidisciplinary, internationally recognized research program in foundational methods, embodied AI systems, health and medicine, scientific discovery, engineered AI systems, people, policy, governance, and ethics of AI. Support a cross-departmental DSAI Cluster or Clusters within the Institute and collaborate with colleagues across the university. Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Qualifications
Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field. Outstanding candidates at all academic ranks will be considered. Strong, independent, multidisciplinary research record with international impact on data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
