Product Owner

to join IQVIA Laboratories in

Columbia, MD

As a Product Owner, you will lead the development of

Labmatrix , our flagship platform for sample tracking and consent management. You will manage the product backlog, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery of high-impact features that meet client needs in the life sciences space.

What you’ll be doing:

Define, prioritize, and manage the Labmatrix product backlog to align with business goals and customer needs.

Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable user stories focused on sample tracking, consent management, and biobanking.

Collaborate with development, design, QA, and commercial teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Serve as the primary point of contact for product functionality and requirement clarification.

Communicate progress and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

Review and approve completed work to ensure it meets acceptance criteria and quality standards.

Monitor product performance and use metrics to drive continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Computer Science, or related field.

Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.

Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:

Experience with life sciences platforms such as Labmatrix or similar.

Proficiency with Agile tools like Jira and familiarity with Scrum practices.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and backlog management skills.

Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable development tasks.
