Overview We are seeking a
Senior Technical Project Manager (SET Lead)
to oversee Interior systems development for ***’s vehicle programs. The ideal candidate will manage multiple concurrent design and validation projects, ensuring timely delivery within cost and quality targets. This role requires strong project management expertise, technical understanding of automotive interiors, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, PMO, supply chain, craftsmanship, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain
detailed Gantt charts
to track design milestones and deliverables.
Manage
scheduling, resources, and workload balancing
across multiple engineering projects.
Interface with suppliers and test departments to ensure validation readiness for production.
Leverage
Jira and Confluence
for tracking tasks, documentation, and communication.
Lead
Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
and
design release processes .
Support
cost analysis , supplier engagement, and “should-cost” target alignment.
Provide
technical guidance
to address design and manufacturing challenges.
Present progress and metrics to
executive management .
Support
plant builds
and launch readiness in Arizona as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience
in the automotive domain.
Strong understanding of
interior trim systems
and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, die casting, welding, mechanical assembly).
Proficiency with
Gantt charting tools ,
Atlassian Jira ,
Confluence , and
Tableau
(or similar).
Basic CAD knowledge
(CATIA/3DX preferred).
Excellent
communication and stakeholder management
skills.
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering or related field .
Preferred Skills
PMP/CAPM certification .
Experience with
automation tools
integrating Excel, Jira, Python, or Tableau.
Strong
analytical and data-driven
decision-making ability.
Hands-on experience in
concept-to-launch vehicle development .
Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, cross-functional environment .
