We are seeking a skilled Sr. Technical Project Manager for the Exterior Trim team, focused on Exterior System Components. You will work with a team of engineers to support Exterior components design and development at Lucid. You will manage multiple scheduling activities for simultaneous projects, leverage your expertise in managing automotive trim commodities, and collaborate with a lean team of automotive engineers. You will work with the Manager and cross-functional teams such as PMO, Design, Craftsmanship, Supply-chain and testing/vehicle safety departments. You will help balance engineer utilization to meet project budgets and delivery timing, and coordinate with other group Project Managers. Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed Gantt charts for multiple design projects identified during cost reduction exercises or new accessories requirements coming through PMO Track progress and encourage teamwork to hit milestones on time Interface with test department and Exterior Trim suppliers to keep the validation program on-time for start of vehicle production along with BOM management Utilize Jira to communicate engineering tasks and progress Utilize Confluence to publish critical information Provide regular progress updates to management and the executive staff Lead design release and engineering change requests through Lucid ECR system Provide technical guidance to solve engineering challenges with mechanical systems Pro-actively work with other teams and partners to solve launch challenges and maintain positive relationships between stakeholders Occasional trips to the manufacturing plant in Arizona to support build activities Present to Executive staff when required Qualifications
7+ years of work experience in Automotive domain 3+ years of Project Management experience leading end-to-end programs 3+ years of Exterior or Interior trim systems experience 3+ years of plastics design experience Basic knowledge and experience with CAD programs Experience with Atlassian Jira, and Confluence or similar Advantageous
PMP certification preferred CATIA experience is desirable Automotive Accessories/cost reduction/should cost experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to draw decisions using data and metrics Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or related field Salary and Benefits
Base Pay Range (Annual): $135,300 - $186,010 USD Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. Eligible candidates may participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules and company performance.
