Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to lead the financial health and future growth of the firm. This executive‑level role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced legal environment and understands the unique dynamics of managing law firm finances. The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of legal billing practices, trust accounting, and law firm performance metrics. Responsibilities
Oversee all financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long‑term strategic plans Provide financial insight and leadership to partners and executive team Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards including IOLTA/trust accounting rules Monitor case profitability, cost recovery, and cash flow Oversee internal controls, audits, and risk management processes Supervise accounting staff and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and resource allocation Manage banking relationships, vendor contracts, and insurance policies Qualifications
10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience 5+ years in a senior finance role (Controller, CFO, or equivalent), preferably in a law firm or professional services setting Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred) Extensive experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and strategy Deep knowledge of law firm billing, trust accounting, and cost management Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Excel Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills We offer an excellent compensation package including:
