REIT Accounting Manager

Controller & Associate Vice President of Finance Boston, MA

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual

financial statements

for REIT entities under U.S. GAAP.

Oversee

general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations , and manage the full

month- and quarter-end close .

Maintain and enhance

internal controls

in line with SOX and company policies.

Coordinate annual

audits

and ensure

REIT tax and compliance

standards are met.

Supervise and mentor

accounting staff while partnering with asset management and finance teams.

Support

budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis , and special projects including acquisitions and financings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field

(Master’s/MBA a plus)

CPA strongly preferred

6+ years

of progressive accounting experience, including

2+ years in leadership

Background in

real estate, REITs, or public accounting (Big 4/national firm)

preferred

Expertise in

U.S. GAAP, consolidation, and REIT structures

Skilled in

Excel and ERP systems

(Yardi, MRI, Oracle, Workiva)

Strong

analytical, organizational, and communication

abilities
