Gastroenterology Locums Job in Massachusetts On Call Starting Mid-December Assignment

Coverage Details: Start mid-December 2025 until permanent physician is hired Reason for coverage: Retirement

Shift Description: Friday 4 PM - Friday 4 PM Call structure at MMC approximately 1:4 Coverage includes Floor, ED, ICU, emergent consults, and endoscopies (as needed) Carry beeper overnight

Requirements: Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC preferred) Active MA license BLS ERCP certification preferred but not required

Required Procedures: Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry & Interpretation Small Bowel Biopsy Lower GI Endoscopy (Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy) Liver Biopsy Upper GI Endoscopy (Diagnostic & Therapeutic) including: Biopsy Foreign Body Removal Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser) Injection/Banding of Varices PEG placement

Clinical Details: Adult, Hospital, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy Average hospital-based patients per day: 4-12 Group size: 4 physicians Onsite lab and X-ray available Outpatient coverage: Not required EMR: EPIC
