Position Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in both office and warehouse areas. This position ensures that workspaces, common areas, restrooms, and production spaces are sanitized and maintained to company standards to support a healthy and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, meeting rooms, and warehouse areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors and surfaces as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, desks, and shared equipment.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and request replenishments when inventory is low.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, cleaning vents, and reporting repair needs to management.
• Clean warehouse floors, loading docks, and employee workstations to ensure safety and tidiness.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for company meetings or events as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any unsafe conditions, spills, or maintenance issues immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience (industrial or office setting preferred).
• Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (floor buffers, vacuums, etc.).
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time schedule.
• Work performed indoors in both climate-controlled office areas and non-climate-controlled warehouse areas.
• May require early morning, evening, or weekend hours to accommodate business operations.
