Senior Accountant – Onsite NW Atlanta

Location: Atlanta, GA (NW Atlanta, near Truist Park)

Pay range: $85,000 – $90,000 per year (negotiable; bonus potential 5% of Salary)

Typical hours: M–F, 8 AM–5 PM (40–45 h/week)

Employer: Construction developer with two divisions; 3‑person accounting team; report to Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with full‑cycle accounting for combined and non‑combined entities.
• Support month‑end closing and complete monthly journal entries.
• Review financial statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare profitability reporting and respond to questions from leadership.
• Manage daily cash balances and ensure proper funding for payments.
• Transfer funds between accounts and set up ACH/wires as needed.
• Assist with preparation of lender reporting and compliance requirements.
• Prepare monthly land development draws to submit to equity partners and lenders.
• Support annual financial audit and prepare PBCs for audit team.
• Prepare and file property tax returns and business license renewals.
• Work with Staff Accountant and Senior AP Specialist to complete 1099.
• Support Accounting Staff with additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experienced leading month‑end closing.
• Well‑versed with Excel, including VLOOKUPS.
• Able and willing to work onsite each day.
