Fiscal Analyst 1 – Department of Retirement Systems

Responsibilities
Receive and process check and ACH/wire payments for member and employer retirement contributions, deferred compensation, and the DRS administrative fund.
Post cash/check, EFT and journal voucher payments to the appropriate accounts.
Balance payment advice forms to payments received and input daily receipts.
Monitor the shared email cash inbox for employer correspondences related to EFT payments.
Review and reconcile daily ePayment reports and prepare and submit ACH transmittals for employer ePayment files at OST.
Prepare AFRS transaction batches for recording into the state accounting system.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience summarizing, preparing, and posting daily receipts, received by check or electronic transfer, into a financial system (typically two (2) years of professional full-time accounting experience).
Demonstrated general accounting experience performing reconciliations, preferably in a government entity (typically one (1) year of full-time experience).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Teams (version 2016 or newer).
Proficiency using a 10-key calculator.
Experience working in a Washington state agency and using the Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS) and its processes is highly desirable.
Proficiency in competency areas: Adaptability, Analysis, Attention to Detail, Communication, Interpersonal Savvy, Managing Workloads, Commitment to Diversity.
