If so, check out this opportunity to join our fiscal team at the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) as a Fiscal Analyst 1 in the Revenue Accounting Unit. You’ll perform daily, weekly, and month‑end accounting duties for various functions, and prepare and record accounting entries to update general ledger balances in the Accounting and Financial Reporting System (AFRS). Responsibilities

Research and resolve cash receipts in ARC’s unapplied receipts work list on a daily basis, applying receipts to a receivable in ARC, creating a refund request, sending money to the EASE system, or coordinating with relevant business areas to process unapplied receipts in a timely manner. Assist with approving all payment documents for the Wage Claim and Prevailing Wage Suspense Accounts on a monthly basis; maintain a spreadsheet that tracks all money coming in or going out for wage claims and prevailing wages. Complete reconciliations of ARC transactions to AFRS; investigate and independently resolve discrepancies. Reconciliations include ARC transactions such as ARC Lockbox, MIPS Deductions, Retro Deductions, BPS Deductions, and Self Insurance receipt transactions. Double check data entry and release in AFRS for all cash receipt journals (A‑8s) and journal entries (JVs) prepared and input by Revenue Accounting staff daily. Record and track checks received through service locations when they are returned by the bank for insufficient funds (NSF); follow up on NSF checks and generate NSF letters as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or GED AND two (2) years of fiscal or related experience. Equivalent combination of experience and education may qualify for the two (2) years of experience, such as:

One (1) year of fiscal experience

AND One (1) year of college courses
