Position Summary This full-time, 12‑month non‑tenure‑track faculty position (Assistant/Associate Professor) in Community Pharmacy Practice focuses primarily on teaching (didactic and experiential) and clinical practice within the PCR Department of the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy. The faculty member will provide clinical pharmacy services to community partners in the Tampa Bay Area, collaborate with the pharmacy team to strengthen clinical implementation, offer teaching and mentorship, and support growth of new services. Research, scholarly activity, and service to the college and the profession will be expected as time allows.
Responsibilities
Teaching: 40% – didactic, interprofessional, experiential settings
Clinical duties: 40% – aligned with the incumbent’s professional discipline
Service: 10% – as assigned
Research: 10% – aligned with the incumbent’s professional discipline
Student success coaching, mentoring, and related activities
Representation on university, college, or department committees as appropriate
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program
Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida
Prior experience as a pharmacist at a community‑based pharmacy practice for at least 2 years
Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor
For Associate Professor: Strong record of research/publication, teaching, service, and clinical experience at an accredited academic program
Preferred: Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program
Preferred: Completion of a PGY1 residency program in Community Based Care
Preferred: Strong clinical interest in medication therapy management, remote patient monitoring, and transitions of care
Preferred: Joint degrees (MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.) in addition to a PharmD
Preferred: Board certification or other credentialing from an accredited body
