The PCR (Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research) Department at the University of South Florida Taneja College Of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Community Pharmacy Practice. This position will include primarily teaching (Didactic and Experiential) and clinical practice. Research/scholarly activity, and service to the college and the profession will be expected as time allows. Didactic teaching will be aligned with expertise. All clinical faculty must maintain a practice site suitable for experiential learning. The responsibilities will focus on providing clinical pharmacy services to one of our many community partners in the Tampa Bay Area. The faculty member will work closely with the pharmacy team to strengthen clinical implementation, provide teaching and mentorship, and support growth of new services. This position reports to the PCR Department Chair. Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited academic program Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida Prior experience as a pharmacist at a community-based pharmacy practice for at least 2 years or greater Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor For Associate Professor: Must have strong record of research/publication, teaching, service, and clinical experience at an accredited academic program Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program Completion of a PGY1 residency program in Community Based Care Strong clinical interest in medication therapy management, remote patient monitoring, and transitions of care Candidates with joint degrees (MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.) in addition to a PharmD Candidates with board certification from BPS, or other credentialing from an accredited body Working at USF With approximately 16,000 employees, the University of South Florida is one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay area.
